What you can expect
In order to get a better understanding of your needs and whether Rockpool Psychology is able to best support you a brief initial telephone consultation will be offered which will last approximately 10 minutes.
If after this telephone appointment both you and a member of the Rockpool Team feel we would be a good fit for you then you will be offered an initial appointment where we can talk in more detail about the difficulties you have been facing and your hopes for our session/s together. This will help us develop a plan for our session/s. Prior to this appointment you will be sent a confirmation letter/email; attached to this will be further information about our sessions together.
Together we will make a flexible plan for if and how many sessions together will be helpful to you; we will review our sessions together regularly to ensure they are inline with your goals/needs.
Experiencing a mental health crisis?
Rockpool Psychology is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in need of urgent help please contact your/their GP who will be able to support you and direct you to the most helpful service. Other options of support include telephone contact with the NHS 111 service, Samaritans (on 116 123 or ). If you or someone else is at immediate risk ring 999 or access your local A&E.
How we look after your personal information
We take the safeguarding of your information very seriously and we believe it is important that any individual/organisation accessing our services is clear on what personal information we collect and why, and how we look after it.
We keep up to date on the professional and national policies on data protection which govern what information we collect, how this is used and stored. During your initial contact with a member of the Rockpool team you will be made aware of what information we will need to collect to be able to best support you and how this will be stored. If you are happy with this, you will be given a consent form to sign which clearly states what has been discussed. You will be made aware of your right to withdraw your consent at any time and the process for doing this.
We believe it is important for you to have the opportunity to ask any further questions you may have about what and how your personal information will be managed and encourage you to speak with a member of our team who will be able to answer your questions.
